When this platform was conceived, it was envisioned to be a safe space, safe from pain, shame and judgement. It also needed to be a place where women from all over the world could use their voices to lift each other up by knowing that we weren't alone in our experiences.
We all have a story to tell, and we all express ourselves in different ways. This is why Storytellers exists. Here is a space where you can express yourself in YOUR way. We know that not every woman can speak to the masses in front of a camera, but we also know that EVERY woman has a story that they are carrying around that is weighing them down and until we are able to release that which we keep hidden, that secret that weighs us down and poisons our soul, we can never be truly free.
You can submit your story in any medium you wish. Video, art, essays, short, stories, poetry, photography are only a few of the ways you can share your story. As we build up this section, we are building a powerful place where your story can be seen, heard and shared with others around the world, thus, connecting us all together in the strength and power of our oneness. This section will so be completely private so you can submit your story and be assured that only members can see it.
Sara shares her story of sexual assault.
As I think back to 1986, I am again filled with dread and fear, and I am reminded that I did what I did because I was only 16. I was barely 16. All my life I had been abused.
I was sexually abused from the age of five
Yes, the innocent and tender age of five
Not long was I alive on this Earth
